Currently, the salary award is set at Rs 90 crore. But the board is considering increasing it significantly ahead of next season.

InsideSport learned that the financial windfall from IPL MEDIA RIGHTS will have a positive impact on player salaries.

It should be noted that the teams locked most of their squad for 3 years via mega-auctions ahead of IPL 2022. Locked players will not receive any salary increases.

But for MINI-AUCTIONS before IPL 2023, teams can get more money to spend.

Instead of Rs 90 crore, the purse can go up to 120-130 crore if the teams agree to the same. The IPL Board of Directors will make the final decision on this soon.
